Hi, I'm Wes Colton.

Geography

I was born in Northern Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C. I lived there for 37 years and then moved with my wife and children to north of Denver, CO.

Education and Work

The progression of what I have learned and subsequently done professionally is as follows.

• Graduated from James Madison High School
• Interned during college summers at Coopers & Lybrand and then PricewaterhouseCoopers
• Graduated from James Madison University
• Worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a consultant
• Worked at IBM as a consultant after they bought PricewaterhouseCoopers Consulting
• Worked at ICF as an IT Project Manager
• Working at EDUCAUSE as the Director of Web Services

Spare Time

In college I was a drum major for two years for the Marching Royal Dukes. I am an unapologetic band nerd through and through. I've played the saxophone (mostly baritone) since 1987.

In my young adult years I participated in and eventually co-led a volunteer choir at my local church at the time. This experienced changed my life and is the catalyst for a lot of my thoughts and discussions since.
